Our Energy-Efficiency Partners and Affiliates

Today’s home improvements need to be more than just beautiful and durable: they also have to be environmentally friendly. Renewal by Andersen® replacement windows and patio doors are designed with this in mind, which is why we are committed to providing sustainable and greener home improvement options. This has led us to earn the trust of the following like-minded organizations.

National Fenestration Rating Council

The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is a non-profit organization that provides objective energy performance ratings for fenestrations, i.e. windows, doors, and skylights. They aim to help homeowners make informed decisions by providing U-factor, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), and Visible Transmittance (VT) ratings that can be seen on the products themselves. You will notice that all Renewal by Andersen replacement windows and patio doors have NFRC labels.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Our parent company, Andersen Corporation, is recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a charter member of the National Environmental Performance Track initiative. Our membership reflects our commitment to sound environmental management, continuous improvement, and public outreach.

The EPA has also initiated ENERGY STAR®, in partnership with the Department of Energy. ENERGY STAR is a voluntary labeling initiative that helps homeowners quickly identify energy-efficient products. Our replacement windows and patio doors all bear the ENERGY STAR label in addition to the NFRC ratings.

U.S. Green Building Council

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote sustainability in building design, construction, and operation. The USGBC is best known for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), a certification program for residential and commercial buildings that excel in energy efficiency, material and resource conservation, ventilation, and daylighting. Our products have been installed in several buildings that have met and exceeded LEED requirements.

Alliance to Save Energy

Alliance to Save Energy is a coalition of corporations in the industrial, technological, and energy industries. As a member of the Alliance, we aim to promote the use of energy-efficient products for a healthier economy, a cleaner environment, and a secure source of energy.

Andersen Corporation, and by extension Renewal by Andersen, aims to help these organizations achieve their goals by providing energy-efficient products.
